I think it's interesting that Locke/Smoke is being completely honest with both Sawyer and Kate. Maybe he's not such a bad guy after all.....

You knew he was bad when he offered Sayid anything he wanted to do something for him. That was a devil's bargin!
I do not know if Richard's story will be interesting or not. Hopefully they use it to give a history of the island since he has been around a few hundred years.

I'm not convinced of the Locke/Smoke is bad and Jacob is good. Too much bad has also been done by Jacob's minions. What makes more sense to me is that Locke/Smoke represents Justice/Science and Jacob represents Mercy/Faith.
