OTA Troubles
ADVERTS
I'm looking for some help. For the past few months I have been using a Voom receiver for OTA using an indoor Zenith ZHDTVI antenna. Things have been working great until a few days ago. When I was repositioning the antenna, I received a shock and have not been able to receive any OTA channels since. I've tried another antenna, rebooting the box, and replugging the OTA module. Nothing has worked. Rescanning does not show any channels. Is there any type of diagnostic I can run to see if the OTA module was damaged when I was shocked? Is there anything I can do, or am I SOL? The Voom box vitals are:
Secure Firmware V16
Current Software Version 2.3
HAL Version 00.07.26
Middleware Version 01.44.10
If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Assuming that the Zenith antenna is a power amplified one. Just a guess here - but it may have somehow shorted out the OTA module. You might look for a replacement module on ebay. Have seen them there in the past at reasonable prices.

Thanks. I didn't know people were just selling the module.

There is actually a VOOM OTA Module currently listed on eBay for $2.49, plus $8.78 shipping. Can you also yank one out of an non-activate box...hopefully pretty cheap.
