I just picked up a voom receiver off of Ebay, and am having a bit of a problem.

I purchased a DVI - HDMI cable and when I hook that cable up and boot the voom box, I get the Voom bootup screen and thats it. It says Voom please wait. And then the screen goes dark.

When hooked up to components it works fine. The picture is flawless.

    Any ideas.

As I recall, there were problems with using the DVI hookup. Just stick with the component hookup and enjoy the excellent quality video that you are getting. Doubt that you would really see any difference if the DVI did work.
