Locked Up...Needs Pin

A friend has a Motorola DSR550 and is locked up with a unknown PIN...how do I get around this problem?it is asking for a four diget pin.I am new to VOOM, so please understand.thanks

Welcome to the forum!
Unfortunately, there is no known way to reset it.

Try some obvious combinations, like 0000, 1234, etc.

I would consider purchasing it from your friend if he/she wants to get rid of it. I am willing to spend countless hours of un-entertaining monotony punching in codes.

I did. After a painstakingly systematic approach (printing out every possible combination). I got to the 20th page out of 20 pages of codes and cracked mine! What a gomer, huh?
