The Jay Leno Show averaged 13.2 million last night to once again win his time-slot. Enjoyed seeing Robin Williams.

CBS: CSI: NY (R) (1.9/5, 7.50)

Tonight's show (no pun intended) was very good. Who doesn't enjoy seeing Halle Berry? Comedian Tom Papa did a funny 6-minutes routine. And Bruce Hornsby and Epic Clapton weren't too shabby.

I only watched part of the premiere episode. I am still irked that this drivel is taking up 1/3 of NBC's prime-time lineup. We get only 1/2 a season of Chuck and 1/2 a season of Heroes because of this. Boo.
I don't take the ratings seriously this week; 1) it is new; and 2) the other networks have not fully started their fall seasons.

I was just thinking how Jay's audience must be aging, moving the show up 90 minutes lets a lot more stay up for it.
Seriously though, it is not a show I will frequently watch, maybe just when they have interesting guests.

When you mention drivel, you're obviously talking about upChuck and Zeroes, right? There's a reason NBC is in last place out of all the major broadcasters...and that reason has nothing to do with Jay Leno who has delivered stellar late-night ratings the past 17-years. Chuck will soon be swapped-out for a show named Kent or Scooter, and a Heroes will soon be replaced by Biggest Loser: Miami.

Additionally, if anyone thing the Jay Leno Show is going to win the ratings against the prime-tme lineup...it's not going to happen. Instead, Leno will finally give NBC some solid numbers in the 10pm slot and the show should win the 10pm time-slot during the 4-month rerun season. Leno is on contract to deliver 46-weeks of live programming. If NBC had more than 2 or 3 decent shows there is no way they would be moving Leno into their 10pm slot. They do not. In fact, many of their shows draw less than a 5-share...no, not 5% of a particular demographic...I am talking about a national audience of five people watching their horrible programming. With the exception of America's Got Talent and Biggest Loser, NBC should wipe-out the entire primetime lineup and start fresh.
While I respect your opinion, I certainly do not agree with it.
