When I do watch Leno they have the newsbreak which gives me all the top stories. Why stay up until 11pm to watch it all over again?

That article is mainly a re-hash of the anti Jay stuff that's been going on since the show started...

What they really should do, is allow the affiliates to show their news at 10:00pm, and then show Leno at 10:30pm.

I wonder how many of these NBC stations have news broadcast in HD? My NBC broadcasts local news in SD only and I will always watch local CBS which is HD.
Soon adverb1: without undue time lapse
2: in a prompt manner

My local affiliate has news from 5 - 7 (with Brian Williams at 5:30 pm so I rarely watch the 10 pm news as it is usually rehashed and avoid the CBS and ABC locals that hawk investigative crap only at 10 pm...

I like the idea of having news at 10 (pacific time), then Leno at 10:30. FOX has news at 10, so why can't NBC?

Broadcasting the local news at 10pm makes a lot more sense...
