Next Android just about here?
ADVERTS
The rumor mill is running in overdrive about what is next for Android.
One of the scenarios is: during their
I/O Developer Event
Google will announce the completion of Froyo (also called Android 2.2 or 2.5 sometimes). The developer team
had a party recently
, reportedly celebrating the release of the update.
The latest resurfaced rumors claim that
Motorola Shadow
, first mentioned
will become the first handset running Froyo and might also become the Nexus Two.
Specs are impressive, too: 4.3" touch screen; QWERTY keyboard, HDMI out...
If this turns out to be true (Moto making N2), I'd expect Apple to continue the tradition and sue Moto...
Diogen.

Yeah, the blogosphere has been filled with stuff about Froyo, which will have Flash support built in. I'd like some frozen yougurt please.

Whatever. Not falling for that.
Nothing has to be an ipod killer; the ipod is the sexy phone, everyone gets that, Droid provides flexibility and freedom, and is continuing to increase its market-share. Froyo will not kill iphone, but Froyo and the numerous Android 2.x devices coming out will continue to grow in strength, into a healthy market with competition.

At&t is the iphone killer. Watch that phone explode when it gets relesed from the At&t private stables.
Will I get one? nope, I'm too in love with android, but I do enjoy my itouch.LG550, Pio51FD/Pio VSX-03TXH/Pansat 9200/AzBox/7MC>360 extender| 1.2m motorized/90cm on 101 & 105/80cm on 74 & 79/Homemade Gray-Hoverman: OTA/FTA/Netflix/Vudu for my viewing entertainment

I hope the Nexus One gets Froyo when it comes out as opposed to waiting...
That is one thing bad I'll say about Android, it's not released all at once for all hardware, seems some folks get screwed over.
