Question Question about Motorola DVR 6412

Sponsored Links
Ok, here's the scenario:

Your Motorola DVR works fine in real time, but when you try to watch a recorded program it freezes up whenever you try to fast forward. this happens most of the time, but not always. when it locks up you get an error message : "NPLAY"

You have the cable company out and they verify levels are good, connections are tight, splitters are properly rated, etc. They give you a new DVR and it works fine for a couple days. then, EXACT SAME PROBLEM. different box, exact same symptoms.

What could be causing this problem? Firmware? problem with AC? At motorola's website and in the manual trouble shooting section there is nothing. Anyone info on this, what might cause it and how it might be fixed, would be greatly appreciated.
