Proud Staff MemberI moved my PS3 to a room close to the router and have fair results streaming over wireless (need a faster router) with both TVversity & WMP11 .... I use a EHDD with good results for media.

The problem for PS3 and its sad really b/c it is a better device than the xbox 360 especially coupled with ps3 media server is a despicable thing called CINAVIA which interferes whether you own the movie or not.
