Dish DVR recording to a VCR

I have a Dish 625 DVR dual tuner, 1 tv w/1 remote. Can I record from the DVR to a VCR while watching something else on tv?

If it operates in dual mode yes. You watch on TV1 and the TV@ output goes to the VCR.
