So if they have discontinued the 625 and are installing HD DVRs (622, 722, 612) for new customers, they are getting ready for the worst. My question is, will they upgrade current customers with 625 and 522 receivers?

They will do whatever it takes to keep from cutting off DVR service to any customer. To do otherwise would be suicidal.

Amen, brother. I can live with them not adding tons of new HD channels, but if they ever took away the DVR function, I'm gone with the wind!
