Meanwhile, XM lost me when when they dumped Music Lab and Luna, but I had considered coming back before X-Country and Beyond Jazz were gutted, and eventually eliminated from the lineup. I find all of that and more on Slacker, now.
You would think after the merger that the selection would increase due to combined resources, but instead the opposite happened.

I suppose for nostalgia value it serves a purpose, but for me it's just a reduced play list.
For me its an extended playlist. Most of the songs played on AT40 are NOT played on the 70's or 80's channels regularly.

So many times listening to Casey I am like, oh my god I havent heard that song in YEARS.

I don't see Satellite radio surviving in this economy. I have nothing against it.

Satellite Radio just keeps cutting back costs so much that it just isn't that interesting to listen to anymore. They keep focusing mostly on sports and these goofy talk channels like the new Oprah channel. Since the merger, I have lost so much interest in sat radio as programs I used to love have been eliminated. When I contact them about it, I get the same response. Cutting back cost. They are cutting back on me as a subscriber and I am very near to canceling.
