I have to check but I thin kwe are going to have a network in 1080p but I have to double check and even then it might be upconverted or even worst over compressed.

DirecTV does not have a network in 1080p, however they have a live channel showing PPV which is in 1080p (and it not VOD) Dish does not have a live 1080p channel yet.

The ad where Directv claims to have 1080p, shows in fine print, at the very end of the ad, for only a second or two, that the 1080p is a ppv or vod channel. That is, to me, false advertising.

Did you hear the one they had last night on the airing of WW2 in HD?

It went something like "WW2 in HD is brought to you by DirecTV who now offers every channel with theater quality sound and picture."

I was looking at my TV screaming WHAT?
