Actually yes, a goose egg would have been better to me. Then we wouldn't be wasting bandwith on a channel that no one really cares if it's in HD or not. Be kind of like watching C-SPAN HD. You wouldn't be happy with CSPAN HD if it's the first channel they launched in forever, just because it's there?

I jst saw this by dish network-- DISH says HD plan on track despite failed satellite Thu Apr 17, 6:23 PM ET

NEW YORK (Reuters) - DISH Network Corp said on Thursday that it will not incur any financial liability from a failed satellite launch, and its plans to offer more high-definition video programs were on track.

A satellite contracted by EchoStar Corp failed last month to reach its intended orbit, raising concerns over plans by EchoStar's sister company DISH Network to roll out high-definition television services.

In a regulatory filing, DISH said plans to boost its "HD programming line-up this spring remain on track," and it has two more satellites scheduled for launch later this year.
