USA & SCIFI HD NOW ON DISH!
Dish Network surprised us today by turning on USA HD and SCIFI HD! These two channels plus the addition of CNN HD earlier this week equals three new national HD channels added by Dish Network this week.
It should be noted that Cartoon Network HD which was listed on Dish Network's HD listings at DishNetwork.COM was today removed from those listings.Scott

Probably they just switched it on so all the guide info hasn't downloaded yet. Wait awhile or do a check switch to force the guide to reload. Originally Posted by bradb007 Scott K

Thanks for the heads up Scott and the advance notice earlier.
The good news for us in Alaska is that they are on 110 so it looks like I'll be heading home to change a couple of timers! The bad news is the transponder is weak and you need a large dish to receive them. I have a large dish pointed at 110, but know of one person that only has a four footer and his signal strength was 18.

Does anyone know what programming we may expect to be in "true" HD as opposed to upconverted? In addition to BSG, I would suspect the Dr Who series and spinoffs would be HD.
