The rumors that Viacom and Dish have made nice could result in a lot of new HD soon too. That would be great.
From the images on this new page, it sounds like Viacom HD channels are right around the corner...er, coming soon... :-)

    That is a true statement.

Per one of the Charlie Chats last year, the HD Absolute package would only get new HD channels added through the end of 2008. Anything added in 2009 will go into the (now more expensive) TurboHD and "Classic" + HD packages.

We're airing the whole primetime lineup in HD now and it looks quite good. Previously it was just a few select shows like Fox and Friends (morning) and the world report with Shepherd Smith and the new Hannity show. But now OReilly and Greta have joined them and are now in HD.

During the daytime you will see the HD wing with news headlines and other info on the sidebar. I actually helped set that up.

Well, still no new stuff here on either of my 722s. I'm subbed to AT 250 and Gold/Platinum HD using the 'big oval' dish, no 61.5 dish anymore as of last summer's upgrade. Also not using the new programming cards yet either.

Anyone confirm who should or shouldn't be getting these new HD's? I see Fox News HD in red, no Fox Business in the hd listings. Both are visible in SD at their normal spot.

If you're not getting FOXNEWS HD with your smart card in, you should probably give DISH a call. I did and they were able to correct the problem. I have SilverHD. Thanks.
