Dish Adds Fox News HD

Fox News HD Now on Dish
Dish flipped the switch this morning on Fox News HD. It is expected that Fox Business News HD will also be made available to customers this week.
CIEL II Lights Up!
The wait is over and the first transponders on the new CIEL II satellite at the 129 orbital location are now broadcasting. Signal readings of these new transponders are reported to be really good by SatelliteGuys members!
It is expected it will take a few days to offload all programming from the old satellite to the new.Last edited by Scott Greczkowski; 02-03-2009 at 02:21 PM.

Well, that's another positive response I got from my request with the powers at be with Dish Network at CES.
I'm not a big fan of some of the anchors at FOX but I do like to get a balanced view between MSNBC, CNN, and FOXNews. I understand that MSNBC doesn't have HD version so that will have to wait for awhile.

I was flipping through to kill Smithsonian on my favorites and noticed the Fox Business add..... No guide data so I knew it was brand spankin' new....
Then I found FoxNews HD in the 9400s but it was redded out with a "Call to subscribe" info tag.... I figured it was just a placeholder....
Cool.... Another HD news feed for those times when CNN becomes insufferable (will.i.am doing his "Help Me Obi Won" impression... I'm looking at you.....)
Hopefully there will be many more coming to soften that price increase blow....Are we there yet?
