Sirius/XM Channel Numbers
ADVERTS 1
When the companies merged, why didn't they sync their channel numbers? Is there any chance that they will do so in the near future? Being a Dish Network subscriber (with Sirius music channels) who just subscribed to XM in my car, it would be nice if I only had to learn one channel lineup. That is probably just me being picky and anal, but I'm at least curious why they wouldn't maintain consistent channel numbers between the two services.

Dunno. I have XM and D* with XM. From a long time XMer's point of view, there is not much of XM left. It is mostly Sirius now, but it is the only game in town so if you want Sadrad, that's it. Give it another year and I bet we lose the XM channel numbers for the Sirius numbers, too.
Love the nick, btw, CubsWin. Go Cubs!

I am happy with it... and I have 30 presets on my radio so it really doesn't matter. I don't know any of the channel numbers, personally.

Most of the rock stations from XM are gone.
Plus since they merged they now play games on MLB Homeplate. If I wanted to listen to the game I would go to one of their baseball stations. Because Sirius cannot get the baseball stations, they then put games on the homeplate station to make the XM add on package more enticing to Sirius subs.

Basically, I listen to the hockey coverage (Home Ice 204), the blend, 70-'s & 80's, and the comedy stations. Last I checked they were all there. Plus I get them at work without using or paying extra for live streaming. I have a car kit and putting out the XM at 88.1 FM. In my office I tune into 88.1 and bingo there is my XM

Where can I find a cross-reference of the common XM and Sirius channels? I may be renting some cars soon, and as an XMer, it would be helpful to have the Sirius numbers for my favs.
