Best of luck to them but now moiptv has added FOXNews, Hope Channel and Esperanza so if I decidde to go with IPTV I think I will not be with Sky Angel. Like I said before, if SkyAngel couldn't make it in the DBS business where they had virtually no compitition, IPTV is going to be harder where the competition will only increase as time goes on.

What do you mean?

I have the 22k enabled and the power on for both. Should it be otherwise?

I am now able to get 119 for Miami locals, Angel One, NASA and on 110 KTLA CD 32.

He means you can use either a legacy twin or a legacy dual for the purpose of getting SA1 FTA on 119. Seems as though you've got it. And since you've also got something off 110, I'd say you set up your diseqc correctly for the twin.

Edit: No, wait. CD32 is on 119 not 110, so probably you are not correctly controlling the switch inside your twin.

That's good to know! It says it's on Echostar 6,8 so I obviously have something wrong.

I think tomorrow I'm gonna try what someone told be to do for a 2 position StarChoice dish. It's late and I have the Dish antenna disconnected.

Thanks!

3bn had an interesting show on yesterday. I guess from what was said that they sold LIFETIME subs on behalf of sky angel at one time.

They went into the fact that sky angel is not honoring those contracts, they only collected the funds for skyangel etc.

Then they gave a list of choices to view 3abn. DISH, MOIPTV or 3abn satellite. they didn't mention glorystar which I thought was odd. they said people needed to make a choice right away or they would be without tv service. furthermore they posted a phone # for lifetime members to complain to sky angel!

Yes 3abn sold lifetimes after SA quit selling them. Some sort of contract 3abn had. I had a couple of friends who wanted lifetime and that was how they got them.

I purchased my lifetime subscription to Sky Angel through 3abn.

Last week I found the form I had printed out from 3abn detailing the "lifetime subscription" with sky angel, and was intending to post a scan of it here (and will do so soon when I get time).

Did you happen to jot down the phone# for lifetime members to complain to sky angel (or was it just the regular sky angel#)? I would like to register my complaint with them, as I was hoping there would be something offered for lifetime subscribers.

No I missed it. I was so surprised to come across the show. It looked like an 888 # though. If you call 3abn they will probably have it

After posting my question, I realized by calling 3abn you are correct, I am certain they could tell me what the number was. I also figure they will air the show again.

I tried google to see if I could find the number, and ran across 2 interesting things.

The first is a pdf from winter 2000 from 3abn which talks about getting your lifetime sky angel subscription soon before it is no longer offered (basically it is quite similar to what I was going to scan and post):

http://www.beglad.com/download/3abn/cv_winter_2000.pdf

The one line in there of interest is this:

*Lifetime is defined as the lifetime of the subscriber or Sky Angel.

But I guess maybe they are no longer calling themselves Sky Angel either.

The other link of interest was this:

Care2 : The Petition Site : Urge Sky Angel to ho

This is a petition to "Urge Sky Angel to honor lifetime & monthly subscribers". Looks like the goal is 300 signatures, and there are 65 signatures so far. You can sign it anonymously, and there is also the ability to enter a comment (of which you can read the comments of those who have already signed the petition). I think I will put an entry in the petition, and also let everyone I know whom signed up for lifetime about the petition as well.
