Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of the Spurs (except when they're playing Boston )...but overrated? They've won 4 championships in the past 10 years!

San Antonio has really surprised me this year. They could be VERY dangerous come playoff time again.

Unlike other dynasties in sports, they have not done the one thing every other team over a dominant period has done- repeat.

The Yankees did it. The Athletics and Reds did it in the 70's.

The Lakers, Celtics and Bulls- hell, even the Rockets did it!

The 49ers, Steelers, Cowboys, Patriots, Packers- they did it.

Islanders, Oilers, Red Wings, Canadiens- even the Penguins did so.

The Spurs are the ONLY team that has yet to repeat over a stretch of great play in at least 5 years.

If they repeat- then good for them.

I'm not relegating them to the trash heap.

I just find it interesting that they are the only team that was, as you said, consistently good-great for over a decade now, without two titles in a row.

It's just weird how they have never repeated.

I'm not wishing death on the Spurs- I root against them all the time.

You know that old phrase "love to hate?"

That's how I feel about the Spurs.

Actually it IS a big deal. It was a historic accomplishment since it has only happened once ever before in MSG. Nobody will remember a 52 pt, 11 ast, 9 reb performance. There is much more lore in the "triple double". Sure we still won the game and in the grand scheme it doesn't effect anything, but I have just never heard of a game being reviewed two days later only to go back and correct a statistic.

Your kidding right??!! Nobody is gonna remember Lebron scoring 52 at MSG??!!

The stats are corrected ALL THE TIME in all major sports....the problem is THIS ONE was made a story by the media.
