Miami edged the Raptors, 108-102.
D-Wade had 42 points- I am now starting to take him for granted. He's a lock for at least 30 every night.

There's more to playoff success than just winning. Sometimes, you have to go into enemy territory outside your stadium and walk the walk.

Good game Bill. Last night was yet another reminder that the Celtics are STILL the team to beat in the East. Also, last night showcased the Cavs weak interior play as the Celtics outplayed us down low all night long. This has been our achilles heal all season.
On another note, this game was plenty meaningful as it swung the season series between the two teams in favor of the Celtics 2-1. The Cavs and Celts face each other one more time at the Q. The second tiebreaker is conference record, and the Celtics have a large lead in that one too.
Determining the #1 seed is huge. For those who say homecourt doesn't matter, I greatley disagree. Last night went a long way in shifting the coveted advantage to the Celtics. Why is home court advantage so huge? Take this stat as blinding evidence.... Of the last 19 time these teams have played each other, the home team has won! That's right. The Cavs have lost 9 consecutive games in Boston. Boston has lost 10 consecutive games in Cleveland. The teams have had a virtual tie in the standings all season. It's almost certain the #1 seed will be decided by a tiebreaker and Boston has the almost certain advantage.
As for the Cavs heartbreaking loss, they don't have much time to sulk. They come back home tonight to face the Miami Heat for the 2nd time this week.

Getting Beg Ben back will help your interior defense. What's the word on his return?

We'll be lucky to have him back by playoff time. If he does return, he'll be struggling in getting his conditioning back. In short, I'm not counting on him. We need others to step up. Last night was Joe Smith's first game back with Cleveland. We need him to gell with the team again and in a hurry.

With around four minutes to play, James tried to trap the Celtics dribbler and got called for a blocking foul, which may have been the correct call, but if he did the same thing in Cleveland, it would have been called an offensive foul. That's just the way the game of basketball is referreed in the NBA.

It was a very good game. Other than Big Baby morphing into Big Thug
, it was a well played game.
I also agree that whoever gets HCA will get to the Finals. IMO, the Celtics need it more.........I don't feel good about them winning a game in Cleveland (IMO, the toughest homecourt in the NBA, Utah is second).

Johnny Most would have loved it. He liked it when his guys mugged their guys. When Dave Cowens got pissed at Mike Newlin for flopping, Cowens deliberately crashed into him and sent him flying about twenty feet and Most had the time of his life. 'So Cowens said, 'You wanna' see a foul? Well, here's a foul!' Heh, heh, heh. "
-Mike BarnicleThe only thing funnier than a Johnny Most sound-alike contest would be a Johnny Most look-alike contest.
