The steal/running 3 pointer at the end of the game was pretty sick. He's making quite a case for MVP.

You guys apparently don't read the NBA Thread regularly. If you did, I don't see how you logically overlook the season LeBron is having.
Sigh.....
BTW, I'm not discrediting what D-Wade is doing this year. He's an amazing talent. But there is another player on this planet that is having a historic season and he's evidently being overlooked.

Lebron is having an MVP season as well..BUT Cleveland is...as well as Lebron was...EXPECTED to have this kind of season. Wade was not...and neither were the Heat. IF the Heat were to get to the Eastern Conference Finals....Wade WILL win it hands down. Right now, to me, I think it is HIS to lose and that will depend how the TEAM does.

LeBron was "expected" to have one of the best modern day seasons in the NBA?!....... And he lived up to those expectations?!..... And now that is going to be overlooked?! Wow, what a burden it is to be the King!
Excuse me while I slam my head against the wall.
I just find it funny that the same argument AGAINST LeBron for MVP last year is the same argument FOR D-Wade this year. Double standard here?

Holy crap, what a game last night between the Heat and Bulls. I just happened to flip to NBA TV and watched the overtimes. I was stunned at both the resiliency of the Bulls and the... I don't even have a word... special-ness of Dwayne Wade. I flew out of my seat on the buzzer beater, woke up the girl friend, the two dogs and many of the neighbors!
I love NBA TV...
I also wanted to throw in my two cents about the Marion/O'Neal trade. First of all, I think the best part about the trade was the Heat getting Jamario Moon for nothing! This kid can flat out finish. And with D-Wade drawing a double constantly, he just has to throw it in the general direction of the rim, and Moon will finish the play. These guys already have that play down to a science. Throw in Moon's length on defense and you have an amazingly productive guy.
As for who got the better deal, or whether anyone gained on this trade, I think the obvious thing to do is look at winning percentages before and after the trade. Granted, it is still early on, but these percentages do tell the story and by the end of the season, we should have a good answer:As of March 9, 2009
Heat before trade: 54%
Heat after trade: 55%
Raptors before trade: 38%
Raptors after trade: 22%Equipment: ViP722k, ViP722, AEP w/Platinum -- Sony Bravia 55" -- Sony Bravia KDL-32S2000 -- Sony HTCT100 -- XBox 360 Elite
