No Love for the #1 Seeds
The #1 seed in the East (Cavs) will face the #8 Pistons in the first round.
The #1 seed in the West (Lakers) will face the #8 Jazz in the first round.
Neither of these matchups will be an easy task. In your opinion, which #1 has the tougher first round matchup?

Jazz have younger players and are extremely tough to beat at home.
Detroit, OTOH- older team, not getting younger, not as good at the Palace as they used to be.
I'd be more scared to guard Deron Williams than Rip Hamilton."Winning big games ON THE ROAD is the signature of a clutch QB." BillD
There's more to playoff success than just winning. Sometimes, you have to go into enemy territory outside your stadium and walk the walk.

Durant scores 26, Thunder rout Clippers - NBA - Yahoo! Sports
I mocked the Thunder earlier this season, but as the year went on, they showed more heart (beat the Spurs and Mavs a few times).
Turns out it's the Clippers that were the really bad team this year.

KG Could Miss Playoffs!
Bill, I know we're conference rivals, but I never want to see an opposing team be without one of their star players when it counts most. This is indeed unfortunate news.
"He's not going to be ready. After watching him practice, there's no way," Rivers said on WEEI-AM. "The way I saw him move today, I don't know if he'll be ready."[ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4073024"]Kevin Garnett of Boston Celtics could miss entire postseason, Doc Rivers says - ESPN[/ame]"We're going to move on without him," Rivers said.

That's right buddy. The C's can now use this as yet another rallying tool. If people doubted them before, I'm sure the doubt will be even higher now. They'll most certainly be fighting till the end to prove the pundits wrong. Plus, this team is loaded with bigs to step up in KG's absence. Without KG, I still think you make it to the Eastern Conference Finals.
