I heard an interesting post on a message board this morning saying that if all else fails, Cavs owner, Daniel Gilbert may still have an ace up his sleeve. Let's face it; any team with LeBron on it, instantly gains significant monetary value. Conversely, if he leaves, the Cavs franchise would drop in value faster than OSU will drop Michigan this weekend.

So, onto my point: Gilbert may offer a partial ownership to LeBron and/or his buddy Jay-Z. This compromise would work for all parties. LeBron can stay on a winner. Jay-Z can be united with his buddy and have a piece of the business. Gilbert will be better off with this compromise than having a LeBron-less Cavs franchise. (Not sure as to the legalities of a player owning a piece of the team he plays for, but I'm sure they can have a clause set up for his owenership to take place once his career is over). Interesting thought to say the least. Our crafty owner isn't going to lose out on the one of the biggest stars in sports without a fight....

How's Gilbert fairing through this mortgage mess? I have seen much about his company lately.

I actually used to be a mortgage broker about 4 years ago. I got out as I saw the writing on the wall. Anyways, apparently, his company is weathering the storm. He moved the Quicken Loans headquarters to Cleveland and a few buddies of mine still work there. While interest rates are still low, personally I don't know how they stay busy as home prices are stagnant or decreasing. A majority of the mortgage companies business comes strictly form refinances. I can't imagine a lot of folks are refinancing nowadays.

Can anyone tell me why the Mavericks and Rockets are on ESPN and not the Cavs/Pistons? What a crock!

Ben Wallace didn't look very good last night. I think his best seasons are well behind him. BTW Matt, that's 4 of the last 5 we've won. (Not that it means anything now.) On to Boston, tonight for the Pistons.

That's because we don't like to show you all our stuff until the playoffs. Don't want to give away too many of our trade secrets you know.

Besides, how can you forget about the last time we met in the playoffs in the 2006-07 season? Please google: "greatest single playoff game performance in NBA history" and you will surely find LeBron's mug attached to all of you findings! How dare you forget Game 6 at the Palace of Auburn Hills?!

League sources believe the three bidders to be Cleveland, San Antonio and Boston. The team offering the most money to McDyess is the Cavaliers, according to one league source. They could offer McDyess multiple years starting at more than $5 million this season.

The Cavaliers can make the case that landing McDyess would elevate their second unit while wounding their chief divisional rival, the Pistons.

How dare you forget Game 6 at the Palace of Auburn Hills?!

That was game 5 of the series; the Cavs won the series in Cleveland- LeBron's 48 points set them up to clinch the series.

Pistons were a no-show in Boston last night. 'Sheed decided to take the night off, so this one was done by the end of the first quarter. I'm so tired of this guy's "I'll play when I feel like it" attitude.
