ADVERTS
Warriors defeat Hornets in New Orleans.
IMO, the Hornets are not as good as they were last year.

Gordon, Deng help Bulls get past Kings 109-88 - NBA - Yahoo! Sports
The Kings have become really pathetic.
Seven years ago, they were THISCLOSE to making the NBA Finals.

There's more to playoff success than just winning. Sometimes, you have to go into enemy territory outside your stadium and walk the walk.

Good ones tonight:
7:30 Dallas - Miami
Mavs need to start winning games now
8:00 LA Lakers - Memphis
Watched the Lakers play the T-Wolves tonight, now another chance to see a team I rarely watch...unless they're playing a team like the Lakers
8:30 Atlanta - Milwaukee
Hawks a defninite sleeper. If I'm finishing first in the east I'd much rather play the Heat in the second round than the Hawks
8:30 New Orleans - San Antonio
Hornets short-handed last night, but still shouldn't lose to the Warriors
10:00 Utah - Portland
Now Kirilenko is out too. Tough season for the Jazz. Oden is turning into a beast

Last night was a prime example of why the HEAT is still a "not ready for prime time player" when it comes to the NBA playoffs. Absolutely terrible perimeter defense and the fact that they only lost by 8 is a miracle...at one point they were down by 22 in the 3rd quarter.

LeBron scores 33 in Cavs' 90-80 win over Pistons - NBA - Yahoo! Sports
The Pistons have no shot to catch the Cavs for what used to be their birthright- the Central Division title.

Poll every NBA player, coach and league executive and ask them whether or not they would prefer to have a higher seed in the playoffs. I guarantee you every one of them would take the higher seed and home court advantage that goes along with it.
Why you are so "anti-home court advantage", I'll never understand. I just hope you never become an NBA coach. Based on your thoughts, you'd probably tell your players to just coast through the regular season and make sure you sneak into the payoffs. Screw the regular season, it's meaningless right??
Sandra, what was that stat from last year again???

I am 1000% sure EVERYONE involved with a team fighting for the playoffs would LOVE to have homecourt. But they ALSO know HISTORY has SHOWN, that you DO NOT NEED TO BE THE #1 Seed to win the NBA playoffs. THAT HAS been my point all along. I am NOT anti-home court, that is just knee jerk reaction to a woman who people her think her opinion is the end all be all. I LOVE when my team has the homecourt advantage, I also know my team IF my team is not playing well, homecourt won't mean jackshit! AND by the same token, if my team is playing HOT going into the playoffs....they have a good chance they can make the Finals...hmmm.....the Miami Heat winning the Championship comes to mind. The Florida Marlins ALSO comes to mind.
Sandra has a great stat...but guys KEEP FORGETTING that the #1 seed in either the west or the east as only one the NBA championship 5 or 6 times since the Bulls won it in 97-97.
