Reports indicate Todd Haley has accepted the HC gig in Kansas City, two sides just working on contract details.

If Larry Johnson and/or Tony Gonzalez get their wish and leave the Chiefs, Haley should permanently have "I am Stupid" tattooed.

Name three reasons why K.C. would be such a good job.

    I can't.

There's more to playoff success than just winning. Sometimes, you have to go into enemy territory outside your stadium and walk the walk.

    1. Has a history with Pioli

    2. Chance to make it your own team, youngest team in the NFL last season. Will have the ability to do just about anything instead of inheriting a bunch of veteran baggage.

    3. The team isn't as bad as their 2008 record and is in a very weak division

    4. The Chiefs have an estimated ~38mil cap room available before cuts that will free up more, putting them in contention for FA's like Karlos Dansby who Haley is obviously very familiar with and able to pay a QB like Matt Cassel what he's worth who Pioli is obviously very familiar with.... as well as contend for other big name free agents.

A lot could happen though, an exciting hopeful time for KC fans. Some things better (the possibility of Cassel, Stafford) than others (Warner).

Also, Gonzo is looking for a ring, if he sees we're able to make a couple of moves and have a chance to win then he is staying put. If we release 2 dozen players and trade down half our picks it's clear it's the rebuilding he's dreading. We'll likely see a combination of that so we'll see. Gonzo deserves to get a ring before he's done, no problems with him going elsewhere if he thinks that's what it takes (wish we could have made a deal with the Giants last year, would have been perfect).

LJ is just done, he doesn't have the burst anymore after his foot injury, that or he just wasn't playing hard. In the spread he couldn't run effectively, and at least part of that is the kind of offense.

Haley is a good hire, looking forward to seeing what happens with OC/DC and if he's going to call the plays like McDaniels in Denver. I believe Crennel still out there looking for a job? He worked with Haley and Pioli in the 90's.

It was a non-exclusive franchise tag, so other teams can make offers to him, but if they do sign him they have to give the Patriots 2 first round picks.

Chances Boldin returns to Arizona, "very slim."

Even if [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=ari"]Arizona Cardinals News, Schedule, Players, Stats, Video - NFL - ESPN[/ame] quarterback [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=1682"]Kurt Warner Profile - Arizona Cardinals - ESPN[/ame] comes back, it might not be enough for [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=4512"]Anquan Boldin Profile - Baltimore Ravens - ESPN[/ame].

A key member of the aerial attack that pushed the Cardinals to the Super Bowl, Boldin still has two years left on his contract. But he's been at odds with the team over his deal for quite some time.

Boldin told ESPN's Rachel Nichols on Thursday the chances of him staying with Arizona are "very slim."

Boldin had 89 catches for 1,038 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.

    Ray Lewis to NY Jets?

During an interview at the Pro Bowl, [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=bal"]Baltimore Ravens News, Schedule, Players, Stats, Video - NFL - ESPN[/ame] linebacker [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=964"]Ray Lewis Profile - Baltimore Ravens - ESPN[/ame] cracked open an entirely new can of speculation, indicating that he could see himself as a member of the [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=nyj"]New York Jets News, Schedule, Players, Stats, Video - NFL - ESPN[/ame] next season, reports Rich Cimini of the

When asked by the NFL Network's [ame="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=7103"]Jamie Dukes Profile - Arizona Cardinals - ESPN[/ame] about joining his recently-departed defensive coordinator Rex Ryan with Gang Green, Lewis responded, "That opportunity by itself seems attractive. It sounds right. It's like, wow, if something does happen where I'm not back in Baltimore, hmm, the Jets wouldn't be bad."

Lewis then went on to provide a math lesson, noting, "it's a young Jets team that has a lot of talent across the board where if you (add) 52 in that equation, that team goes from being okay to 'Let's go win this.' That scenario by itself is always attractive."

Last week, No. 52 was furtive with the media when asked about his future, telling the

Is he going to play for free?

Salary Cap Report - Footballguys Forums

New York Jets -- $7m over – Whew, last year they doled out over $100 million in guaranteed dollars. Those bonuses are pro-rated out over the next 4-5 years so they’re going to be in and out of cap jail for a while. Laveranues Coles counts $7m and they need him to accept a pay cut, which he won’t. Leon Washington deserves a big extension. Ks Jay Feely and Mike Nugent are both free agents – Nugent was hurt and Feely might have stolen the gig.

When is the last time the Bills got to the playoffs and when was the last time they won a playoff game?

I mean I know they lost four Superbowls in a row, that takes something special to do that, not only make it to four Superbowls in a row, but also lose four in a row.
