The closest I've been able to find is Detroit in 1935-36, when Detroit held the NFL NHL, and MLB championships. Of course the Pistons didn't exist, but I do believe Joe Louis was the Boxing heavyweight champion also at that time. As far as i know this may come as close as we'll get to what Bill is looking for. There are only a handful of cities that compete in all four major sports.
