ADVERTS
I wonder what kind of steroid testing program they'll have, if anything... look at the arms on David Boston, heh.

I think there is enough interest in pro football that a secondary league could actually be successful if done properly. I'm glad to see the UFL proceeding, though I don't know if midweek games and a fall schedule are idea. Also, only 4 teams is pretty small.
I actually like the odds of the (new) USFL or AAFL -- if either can actually get in gear and play -- better. A weekend, spring football league would likely do better IMHO as it wouldn't have to compete with either pro or college. The (old) USFL actually did perfectly fine while it was in the spring, it just got killed when it went head to head with the NFL in the fall.

Ken Dorsey the most recognizable guy (for me) at the Vegas tryouts, and I only know who RB Cecil Sapp is because he was a Bronco -

From UFLAccess...
Former 1st Round Quarterback J.P. Losman Rumored to be Heading to Las Vegas | United Football League (UFL) news, opinion, and discussion - UFLAccess.com
Official site also has a timeline for the season:Rumors have heated up regarding player movement to the United Football League in recent days. Sunday former NFL QB Tim Rattay said he would be headed to the league, Ken Dorsey said hed love the opportunity, and rumors have spread that Michael Vick and his agent have papers in hand that if signed would start the Vick redemption tour in Orlando. All of these whispers, some of which are based in fact, have begun spreading in the wake of two public workouts and ahead of a private, internal UFL draft that is scheduled for later this week.

I hope the UFL succeeds as a minor league. Many cities have the population to support a local team; but I fail to see how they can make it in N.Y., with both the Giants and Jets, and to a lesser extent in San Francisco.

I imagine we'll all recognize the QBs when they're allocated in a week or two. Point isn't to have recognizable players, it's to establish a workable league and then evolve it from there. I don't even watch college football and recognize a guy or two (like Brian Johnson) in addition to some of the former NFL players.
I wonder if Donte Stallworth will come play, lol.
If you're genuinely interested in who the relative wheat and the chaff is on the list, here's some analysis -
