Dude....you are really naive about alot of these things. There isn't a single professional athlete that does not use their image to sell themselves....and once negative pub comes in, they work super hard to protect it. Arnold Palmer lived in an era that these type discretions were kept hushed by the media. We live in an Enquirer era where EVERYONE has a camera and/or video on their phone and wil sell to the highest bidder.

We all knew that Big Papi didn't use steroids, until we found out that he did. For that matter, how many people remember that before Rafael Palmero got outed, he had said he had the best possible evidence that he had never used steroids: his body.

Has anyone started speculating on Woods's golfing future? Will he ever play golf again, at least in this country? Golf is a sport where players can't take distractions, yet every five minutes or so, someone in the gallery will be blurting out something. Golf also needs and requires player availability for interviews, but any reporter who gets to question Tiger during or after a match will be penalized or fired if he doesn't find some way to drag the affairs into the interview.

On the other hand, I had often wondered if Bill or Hillary could ever again be interviewed without being asked about the blowjobs.

BTW, I haven't read anyone dumping on Parnevik for having a big mouth, but if you think Woods being paired with Fuzzy Zoeller was awkward...
