I agree. Other may disagree (they are certainly entitled to their opinion), but I place race car drivers in the same category as bowling, billiards and darts.

...funny, not ONE PERSON posted that to be considered an athlete, you have to play either offense or defense....and any statement that resembles it....

....And yet everyone has been able to state their opinion as to what their perception of an athlete is....without blood or incident....

Being fat doesn't disqualify someone from being an athlete. Lots of baseball players are fat slobs too.

Never said it did. Was just responding because the example of a over weight person playing golf is not an athlete.

OK....I don't know about "Lots of baseball players"....I highly doubt that of the 700+ major leaguers....I would say less than 1% is fat.
