PFT has the AFC scenarios by team here:

Team-by-team AFC playoff scenarios | ProFootballTalk.com

Jets and Ravens: Win and they're in.

Broncos:
The Broncos are in the best position after that. If Denver beats Kansas City at home, the Broncos just need two other things to happen.

The Broncos need the Ravens or Jets to lose, and need to not finish in a two-way tie with the Steelers for the final spot; Pittsburgh beat them head-to-head. If it's a three or four way tie, Denver's superior conference record would take over.

The Broncos, then, are in the odd position of wanting the 8-7 Texans to win because Houston could negate Pittsburgh's advantage over Denver in a head-to-head tiebreaker.

Steelers:
The league office announced today that the Steelers will make the playoffs if they beat the Dolphins on Sunday and any of the following three things happen:

1. The Texans and Jets both lose or tie.

2. The Texans and Ravens both lose or tie.

3. The Jets, Ravens and Broncos all lose or tie.[/quote]

Texans: Two of the following three teams to lose or tie: Jets, Ravens, and Broncos. They play their game in the morning, the others all play in the evening and are all probably going to be heavily favored.

Dolphins and Jags still alive, but need a lot to happen. Will post if those planets start to align, otherwise not worth caring about I don't think.

The playoffs should be interesting. It looked like Minnesota and New Orleans we set to meet in NFC Championship. Now both have experienced losses and each to teams they should have beat. I still think Minnesota can correct their ship but New Orleans is to turnover dependent which will cost them.

As for the AFC my view is the Chargers are better than the Colts. You can also never count out the Patriots. But who knows how things will go. It does appear the NFC has the better talent (given the records).

Ramy and or other Mod... It appears myself and meStevo have created a 2010 NFL Playoff thread at the exact same time. Feel free to merge the two.

Since it was buried in the NFL Sticky Thread, I'll post it here...

What will be interesting is to see what happens in next Sunday nights' game.

If the Patriots beat the Texans in the early game they will, I believe, lock up the #3 seed. This will give the Bengals the #4 seed with nothing to play for in the Sunday night game against the Jets. Do the Bengals rest their players ala the Colts and essentially allow the Jets into the playoffs?

And since this game has been moved to Sunday Night, a national audience might witness the first team to have been essentially propelled into the playoffs by default. (With the Colts laying down in Week 15 and the Bengals laying down in Week 16).

Next Sunday Night, the Integrity of the NFL is at stake.

Minnesota, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Arizona, Dallas, Green Bay- these 6 teams will be fighting for the right to represent the NFC in Miami.

Honestly, I would not be shocked if any of these teams make the Super Bowl.

They all have quality QB's and good playmakers.

NFC road to Super Bowl goes through the Big Easy. If the Aints don't take advantage of this, they never will.
