IPTV Information Request
ADVERTS 1
Hi:
I would like to know what transponders on US Domsats carry IPTV programming and what equipment is necessary for reception. I am really green on this technology.
Thanks

IPTV is Internet Protocol T V. It refers to streaming shows over the internet. Grab a computer and visit hulu dot com as one example. If you have a Netflix account, you can stream that at no extra charge. IPTV in my humble opinion will compete with satellite very soon. I already watch shows that I want even though I don't sub to the channel those shows are on. Hope this helps. Have a great day!
NOTE: Many televisions today have connections to hook up a computer to them. I have my laptop hooked up to my set and with my internet speed, get the same if not better quality as I do on the satellite. If I take the 15 minutes to download the show instead of streaming it, I get HD quality video and the option of burninmg it to DVD if I like.Last edited by stone1150; 04-20-2010 at 05:14 AM.
