I've always been under the impression that the two p's (panasonic and Pioneer) made the best plasmas.... although I know Pioneer was talking about getting out of the tv business, they may have already.
In turn.... I've always been under the impression that the three s's made the best lcd's (Samsung, Sony and Sharp)
I've got a Samsung LCD and love it, but if going the plasma route would have likely gotten a Panasonic.

I may be able to score the 8100 at BB. I will be there tomorrow and check on the screen too.

One of the recent Consumer Reports magazine TV reviews rated SAMSUNG plasma TVs better than Panasonic plasmas.

Teach..
I set up this in my living room. I hate have to paint half of my living room dark burgundy and rest is kinda white color because is better for screen dark. Might I could use thick dark sheets for side walls and back wall the screen to covers, but the ceiling is hard cover with sheets..But I guess have to just go with paint. . Is just a bit gets ugly because half azz paint walls... set up would be in my large living room Well i have 3 living rooms is big house..
Wish was another way
and I don’t wanna go cinigray

You definitely don't have to paint. A lot of people have white walls. I would avoid anything that makes it look tacky, particularly if it is your living room. Lots of different ways to go to give it that theater look, velour drapes, sconces, etc. But definitely a lot more money and harder than painting.

The power supply went out on my Samsung 52" LCD 14 1/2 months after I bought it. Luckily for me it was covered under the 3 month extended warranty Samsung gave me when I registered it online. I don't if it's an isolated incident or if it's a problem with Samsung TV's, LCD or plasma.
52" Samsung 1080p LCD
40" Toshiba 1080p LCD
2 - 612 Vips
1 - 625 for a 32" Toshiba LCD
and a 20" Magnavox LCD in kids rooms, kids don't care about HD (yet)!

Panasonic just does plasmas better. I got an 800u last year, and if I were in the market for a TV this year, I would get a 54" V10.

Yeap. I'm seriously considering the 65v10.
