65" V10 is already an endangered species, and hard to find anywhere.

I'm just curious as to why you would chose this particular panny.

If it were me, I'd choose the V10 because it accepts 1080p/24 AND uses 96hz processing to display film properly, instead of the judder fest the standard models have. The other models accept 1080p/24, put perform 2:3 pulldown (just like my 2008 85U did) and the herky jerk is just unacceptable to me now.

One thing I love about this Regza with Clearscan 240 and Film Stabilization, is that camera pans are silky smooth.

I bought my 46" 800u in Nov 2008 before the 2009 models were announced. It was the second highest rated TV on Cnet after the Pioneer plasma, and I got it at a close out price of $1450 shipped (white glove), bundled with a Panny BD-35 bluray player (the top rated one at the time as well). Seemed like a no brainer since I was seriously in the market for a new TV and had done a fair amount of research. No regrets in spite of the fact I could get their comparable 2009 model (G10) for $1150 on Amazon right now.

This really gives me something to think about. I don't know if I should buy now or wait until Super Bowl sales.

I don't know if I can hold out that long

I've got a SAMSUNG plasma and I love it.

I've never wished I had bought a PANASONIC plasma.

Buy now and enjoy the new purchase. There are lots of deals right now and I am not sure if there will be as many when the Super Bowl rolls around.
