    [VOOM] Customer Service Says Landline Required for Next Upgrade

    Probably wrong, but this morning I called for something else and
    asked about the upcoming software upgrade and the CS rep told me that
    I needed a landline connected to the box to receive the next software
    upgrade.

    I'm sure it is just like DirecTV and Dish where they say REQUIRED but I have
    friends that have had them for years and NEVER had a phone line plugged into
    it.
