Problems with the New Ir/Uhf 21.0 remote
I just got my new 722k last week and to be honest the new remote controls are a bit of problem. Every day I have trouble with the IR remote control turning on the receiver in the living room. I have to reprogram the sat code just to get it to work with the receiver. Now the uhf remote control worked fine in the living room and the computer room directly behind the tv in the living room. Two rooms down directly in the other direction about 20 feet, I have the bedroom and the remote control worked fine last night to watch tv in there . Today I tried to get it to work and it wouldn't. I did the system wizard and got each remote control to work with the receiver and backed up the settings on both receiver and remote controls. I moved the uhf antenna to a higher place above the tv to get it to work. It still wouldn't work in the bedroom. I reset the receiver and it still wouldn't work. So today I called the tech department . He said that it sounded to him like the remote control codes might not be getting downloaded from the sat on the daily update. The answer to him was to either have a tech come out or replace the new 722k receiver I just bought. I said couldn't I just replace the remote controls to see if that fixes the problems? No of course not DISH wants the tech visit at 99.99 since I didn't have the insurance on my account at the time. I said NO THANKS. The old remote controls that the 622/722 won't work in that room either and they did on the 722 in that same room the week before. ANyone know what is going on here?

*knock on wood* I haven't had a single problem with the new 21.0 remotes. Recently "upgraded" my 5.0 and 6.3 remotes (two 722 receivers and one 612) to 21.0
