HD Upgrade, no HD Locals

OK, I finally bit the bullet after several tries with CSR roulette, and upgraded to HD.
Cost was $100 for receiver upgrade (two VIP 222k's) and $15 for the Tech visit.
The Tech installed another Dish500 dish pointing at 61.5 to compliment the already installed dish receiving 110 & 119.
But, the problem is, no locals in HD. Tech claimed two trees were in the way of the bird with Savannah locals (129) and that the 110 & 119 dish was just barely skirting the offending trees.
Question is, is there anything I can do other than cutting the trees?
After I cut the trees, what can I expect (other than the $15 charge) when the Tech comes back?

Nope. It's about 80 miles as the crow flies, with lots of obstructions.

At least you can perhaps trim a tree to get the Savannah HD locals. Dish doesn't even offer the Augusta, GA locals...STILL!
