Had seen that there were these types of lesser-known channels before. Is anyone concerned at all about opening their PC/roku to non-roku websites to "activate" the channels on the system?
Perhaps I'm just a little overly cautious these days. Some of the channels look like they could be GREAT!
Dish 1: Birdview white solid, motorized for FTA w/V-box VII (system modified by "nicknjen")
Dish 2: Birdview white solid, stationary, idle for now
Receiver 1: Micro HD. Working well, original firmware
For fun: Ramsey FM-100B 1/4 watt to send audio into offices and around the yard!
Retired: DSR-9224DTV; DSR-410; Pansat 3500 FTA; Visionsat 200IV PVR, Openbox S10

thanks for the list. I received my Roku player yesterday and started to fiddle around. My take so far: it's neat, certainly not revolutionary. I will be keeping my satellite for the foreseeable future.

This is great! I knew about private channels, but I didn't know there were this many. I'm especially interested in the news channels.
You can add any of these channels from Roku's site by making a login and entering the channel's activation code. Unless you need to get through some pay-wall, you don't need to visit the website associated with the channel.Dusto
