Nuvo TV 159 - some sort of video speedup?

Just happened to notice NYPD blue on Nuvo so I checked it out during a commercial for a different channel. So after watching it for a few minutes I'm looking at it and thinking... they're kind of talking fast and the standard NYPD always moving camera is looking jerky and seems to be moving all over the place.



So, is it just me, or is Nuvo compressing the show to squeeze some more commercial time in there vs cutting the show? Has this behavior been seen by anyone else or on any other shows?

if it's a TV network and not Dish doing this, then this should be moved away from this Dish section and move to it's correct section.

BBC America did the exact same thing for two recent Doctor Who episodes. As if those weren't fast-paced enough already. They time-compressed it so badly the music sounded warbly like it was speeding up and slowing down.

A lot of networks do this, anything they can do to stuff another ad in there. They just drop a frame here and there hoping you won't notice (or not caring if you do) and they add up.
