With the correct linear lnb, you can pick up some signals with the DTV slimline dish. I have been using one for years to get Hispasat 30W. Gets all the TP's on 30W and only fades in real heavy rain storms.

Ok, any help with the Openbox S9. Got everything in place I feel like ya'll laughin at me. lol My breakdown is as follows: Signal Intensity: 45% Signal Quality 5%. 36" disc, DG 380 1.2 motor and a WS Int ESX521FE: LNBF. Purchased from Galaxy Markt. After hooking everything up nothing. Checked: LNB Freq, Transponder. Saw online a lot of people are having this problem and a site called Openbox.us, there support requires purchase from them. Elsewhere on line anyone posting their upgraded firmware seems to have been shut down. Any suggestons/support welcome to get whats needed to make this work if possible?

I've a hunch you're going to have to expand on what you've done so far to try to make it all work. 45% intensity and 5% quality means you have zero signal being received.
What azimuth are you pointing the dish? What elevation is the dish? Have you received any signal quality at all? What satellite / transponder are you trying to receive? What are your physical geographic coordinates (or zip code)? What firmware is in the S9? This site has some S9 firmware. I use a version that is not found on this site. I like 2011Aug30 version.GeosatPro microHD, Star Choice 40"x44" dish w/Multistar .3dB universal LNB, Moteck SG-2100 motor, Glen Martin RT-832 8-ft 4-legged tower

Aiming a dish for the first time is not easy.
It's not Plug-N-Play.
99.99% of the time, the equipment is in proper working order.
That is a good thing - shows you have connected the cables correctly45% Signal Quality 5%
In the Receiver's Antenna Setup Menu, look for the LNB Freq. - it should be set to 10750, and Type:"Standard"ESX521FE LNBF
Look on the Motor Bracket, and make sure you have the Latitude Scale set to your LatDG 380 1.2 motor10' Unimesh w/ C Band Ortho Feed, GBox 3000, and Motorized 90cm "Bob Jones" Dish for Ku, with Omicom S2, TBS5925, TeVii 470, AZBox Elite, SatHawk PVR800.
