Looking for C-band feedhorn cover
I would like to get a feedhorn cover for my dish.
Where is a good place to buy?
Has anyone made one out of something?
Thanks

I'm just using half-gallon plastic milk cartons, cut to fit. Cheap, they slide right over the LNBF, and easily replaceable. So far, the wind has not taken them off and we have had some good winds...

5-GALLON BUCKET. You can get them at Home Depot or walmart, or hell, ask a painter. I use them on two of my dishes, scuff the outside with some scotchbrite pads and paint them with the Krylon paint for plastic, and there ya go. I used one on my BV to cover the ADL quad otrho, so it should work for most any dish/LNB combo out there.

If you don't want to make one Mike Kohl has them for sale ($5 + $15 shipping) and I'm sure he could tell you if they will fit what you have.

04-07-2012 03:38 PM #6I had that problem about four years ago. The wasps could get past the scaler ring and into the guts of the system. After "de-beeing" it, I cut to fit screen and hot melt glued it in place. No bees since.
