A question about the whole home setup

I have a HR24 in the bedroom a HR23 in the living room and a H24 in a spare room. We never ever use the H24. I didn't even want it. When we ordered the whole home setup I was told you have to have 3 recievers to do it. So they gave me the H24.

What I'm wondering is that true? Can I just use the HR24 and HR23? We watch shows off of each in each room. If I don't have to have the H24 that would save me $6 a month. Like I said we never use it. Thanks in advance!

Ive never heard of anyone needing 3 receivers to have whole home. Call Dtv and tell them you want to send it back.

Someone gave you bad information. MRV just needs one DVR in order to capture what you want to save. Then any other (and that can be just one other) receiver can view the recording with MRV. Save the $6 and send the receiver back.
