Do you have the newest, which is not very new, firmware Sky? I think it is Nov 2011. I know when I got around to putting it in, April or May, it helped. However it is still erratic, but not as bad as it was. I prefer to see the BER readings too.

bites not to have the "TEST" port, too, on this newer model.

I also wonder if it can hold a lock on 8PSK signals. On the sathero I currently have, any 8PSK signal has erratic lock. Only QPSK signals have solid lock.

on how to identify the correct figure when using the SH200 meter. With that knowledge, I was able to peak one of my dishes to get the maximum DVB-S2 Quality number. Also, if you're looking for an update on fixing the erratic behavior of the meter when it detects S2 signals, there will be none, and

is the reason as explained by Tim from DMSI.

yes, I've seen those in the past. Peaking on S2 signals is still annoying and I know there is no fix.

I was just wondering with the 100HD if it's also messed up or if they've found a tuner to get it work right for DVB-S2 signals.

100HD missing a few other options i want that I'll pass on it, whether or not DVB-S2 mode is fixed or not.

Might as well pay an extra $50 and get something like a First Strike Meter or one with the built in tuner to view the picture.

For extra $50, I would suggest you get the SH200. It locks S2 and it's more sensitive that the first strike Meter. I know, because I have used both. Oh, the First strike will not find symbol rates below 2000, but the SatHero 200 will.

Yeah and First strike won't so S2 at all. That is why I went with the Sathero. I may get the new first strike if they ever come out with it. They have been talking about it coming soon forever, it supposed to be more sensitive than the first one and do S2.
