If they drop BTN and pick up the Pac 12 they are just swapping demographics. Dish loses customers in the midwest but gains customers on the west coast. It may come out to a wash for Dish customer wise and save money by getting a less expensive channel. (not sure how much the pac 12 channel is) Really, the only ones affected are the B1G fans.

Naw... that'd be like replacing TCM with HDNet Movies. Sure, HDNet Movies has some good films on it, but the material couldn't much more diverse for both being movie channels. Or swapping WEWS in Cleveland for WBZ in Boston.

Swapping Big-10 for PAC-12 would make absolutely no sense.

I don't watch ANY college football team routinely other than the Buckeyes. Sure, if Alabama or USC or whoever is on, I might leave it on and watch for a few minutes but I generally know nothing about any of those teams. If we're home and not busy, I will watch the Buckeyes though. You're suggesting that I just switch "favorite" teams because of a channel/contractual dispute ?

is their anyone, even one single person, who didn't think this would happen the moment they heard the big ten was teaming with fox sports cartel to start the big ten network, that this, is EXACTLY what was going to happen after that first contract ended? i love Iowa sports, but f&^$ the big ten network. Pac 12 fans, if your partnered with fox sports you better hope it's a long first contract cause their won't be a second.

Pac-12 Networks is 100% owned by the Pac-12. No other group (ESPN, FOX, etc.) has any control or ownership interest. They're starting from scratch, without the benefits (and drawbacks) of partnerships.

I am one person who had no idea this would happen. I know Fox and Dish had a dispute a few years ago but since the Fox Sports RSNs, FX, Fuel, Fox News, Fox Business, and Fox Movie Network are all on Dish it sure seemed like their problems were behind them.
