The solution is that you need to add a minimum of 6 recordings to the Genie's "Series Manager" list and that stupid pop-up goes away (on the HR34 and on any C31 clients too)

I found this out the hard way - by trial and error as DTV had no clue and no one here could figure it out as well.

Thanks for the tip. I think I only have 2 or 3 recordings going on the Genie.
