Can I upgrade current whole home DVR to Genie without a landline
I currently have a whole home DVR system and I would would like to switch to the Genie next month when my contract is up. About a year ago I switched my landline to Verizon's home phone connect which isn't compatible with satellite receivers. This doen't effect my viewing habits since I don't watch pay per view. Will I be able to upgrade to the Genie without the landline? And if the answer is no when will the satellite companies come up with an alternitave to landline activation with more and more people dropping landlines in favor of cell phones?

In the end we're all just chalklines on the concrete
