How do I get my recordings off my DVR's hard drive?
I have the DVR 625. I want to put my recordings onto my PC's hard drive so I can burn them to DVD's. But when I connected my DVR's hard drive to my computer it says it needs to be formated. How do I get the recordings off of the DVR's hard drive and still be able to use it in my receiver?

The recordings on the drive are encrypted, I believe. One method is to get a capture card, hook the receiver's output cable to that card and record it on your computer as it plays.
is there any way to decrypt the recordings? the other way will take 99 hours every time my DVR is full
Even with direct PC-DVD burning, you're still talking 25-50 DVDs!
That's a little too close to hack talk. Be careful.
