    Modified Fortec 180cm for actuator

I'm thinking about buying Fortec 180cm dish and making it moveable...

Is this even possible? Welding is no problem, my question is, can it be set up correctly to work with actuator arm?

here are some pictures from the Sadoun site:

I think the only way is with a proper polar mount, it looks do-able.
Gotta love those prime focus dishes

"Proper polar mount' ... meaning one designed for that particular dish or universal mount?

I wonder if Fortec makes a kit or something. Everywhere I have seen it is has the "ground stand" mount only.

I'm not real familiar with how these polar mounts work. Any explanation or pictures would help greatly.

The ring looks like it'd attach to a regular polar mount, you could use a standard prime focus mount which should fit with minimal drilling.

When Sadoun sends me one for review I'll get right on it

Fortec 180cm $173.25 (With Discount) Shipped anywhere in US! I'm thinking real hard at this point.

I just sent an email to Sadoun asking if Fortec even sells a polar mount for their C-Band dishes?

I will post what they say...

    ADVERTISING BOX

This is their response to my question:

"Polar mount is not currently available. We will post it on our website as
soon as we have it available (2-3 months)"

There are 146 pieces/parts. A real pain in the a$$ to put together, I'm sure.

Anyone have any suggestion where to point it until Polar Mount is aquired?
