Minus the locals
Just got Dish up and running today, I have the 18 month committment of Top 120.
My question...
I have no need for the local channels and it seems a waste of $5.00, am I able to get rid of them or am I obligated to the locals for the duration of the contract?

you can get rid of them, but there will probably be a $5 "downgrade" fee when you first do it.

Proud Staff MemberIf you have no need for them get rid of them and if you just got dish yesterday you have 72 hours to make chages with no 5.00 downgrade fee, if you ever want them back then no fee to add them just 5.00 bucks a month extra.
