Snow on first couple channels

Time Warner Cable, Lake County Ohio
Philips Magnavox TV

All channels work OK. Then a few days later, channels 3,4,5, and 6 start to get snow. Channel 8 and higher are OK.

If I disconnect the cable and reconnect, the problem is fixed. Often I need to do this several times until the snow goes away.
After a few days, the snow comes back.

I'm thinking the connector must be OK, since it works for several days?

Any suggestions?

Sounds like a bad connector. You're getting it to make good contact by unplugging it and plugging it back in, but it probably doesn't take much to jar it back.
